To get the most out of your 360° shoot, there are a few things that make a real difference to the final result.

A clean, set-dressed space
360° cameras capture everything — including clutter, mops in corners, and half-eaten lunches. Treat it like a photo shoot. Clear surfaces, hide equipment you don't want visible, make the space look its best.

Access to your Google Business Profile
You'll need to have a claimed and verified Google Business Profile before we can upload your tour. If you haven't claimed your listing yet, we can walk you through it — it's free and takes about 10 minutes.

A brief walkthrough before we shoot
When we arrive, we'll spend 10 minutes walking the space with you to understand which areas matter most — the zones you want to highlight and any areas to avoid. This shapes how we plan the shoot.

Consent for anyone in frame
Google requires that anyone visibly identifiable in a published 360° tour has given consent. We recommend scheduling the shoot during quiet hours, or ensuring staff and customers are aware they may appear in images.

Good lighting
Natural light is best. Turn on all your lights, open any blinds or curtains, and avoid mixing very bright exterior light with very dark interiors in the same shot. We bring additional lighting for challenging spaces.

Does it cost anything after the shoot?
There are no ongoing costs for the Google Business Profile upload — that's free. The Kuula hosting for your virtual tour is included in your package for the first year. After that, hosting is around $12/month directly with Kuula if you want to keep it live on your own website. The Google listing version is always free.
How long does the shoot take?
Most shoots take 1–3 hours. A small cafe or studio is usually done in an hour. A large gym, multi-room restaurant, or multi-level property can take 2–3 hours. We'll give you a time estimate after we understand the layout of your space.
Can I stay open during the shoot?
Yes, but for best results we recommend shooting during quieter periods. Moving people in a 360° image cause stitching artifacts that look strange in the final tour. Early mornings, lunch breaks, or after-hours shoots produce much cleaner results.
Do I need to already have a Google Business Profile?
Yes — you need a verified Google Business Profile to publish a 360° tour to Google Maps. If you don't have one, it's free to create and verify at business.google.com. It usually takes a few days to verify by postcard. If you need help setting it up, we can walk you through the process.
Can I use the tour on my website too?
Absolutely — in fact we'd encourage it. We deliver an embed code you can paste into any website page. It works on Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Webflow, and any platform that supports iframe embeds. Visitors can explore your space directly from your website without leaving the page.
How is this different from a standard photo shoot?
A standard photo shoot produces flat images that show one angle at a time. A 360° tour lets viewers look in every direction from every position — ceiling, floor, all four walls. The experience is closer to physically walking through the space. Both have their place; for Google Business Profiles, 360° tours generate significantly higher engagement.
